Stress Less Thanksgiving

Sweetie don't fool yourself, there is no such thing as a stress-free Thanksgiving! You are cooking for your family. People who are harsher critics than Gordon Ramsey on his worst day!

But relax, they will talk bad about you and make jokes about the dish for years to come but they are also there to help you correct and clean up any mistakes. And your elders are there to give you generational cooking secrets that Gordon Ramsey doesn't even know. Beside you know Aunt Jean's sweet potato pie is a Patty Pie anyway! LOL!
Now I can't give you a recipe for a stress-free Thanksgiving, but I can give you a few tips on having a stress less Thanksgiving.
STRESS LESS THANKSGIVING

Delegate menu items to others. Your superpowers may be cooking but you don't have to save the day alone. Don't do all the meats or main dishes alone, delegate!
Everything does not have to be homemade. Order that ham and purchase that fried turkey and pick up a few desserts. But now... the macaroni and cheese and dressing have to be homemade, though.
GET SOME SLEEP! You don't have to pull an all-nighter, only to miss the good family gossip because you fell asleep on the couch from exhaustion.
Don't overwork yourself. Create a cleanup committee. Sit down and enjoy your family. There has to be a group of young people that can "Instagram" cleaning some dishes, "Snap Chat" taking out the trash, and "Tik Tok" sweeping the floor! LOL!
Speak to yourself kindly. Do not speak to yourself negatively because you forgot something, or something didn't go quite right. Despite what you may be feeling, no one really cares, they are there to enjoy great food and fellowship. And that's the whole goal for this holiday.
Have fun and cherish the moment! Laugh loudly, play with the children, give extra love to the elders and be thankful!
