Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey Meat Marinade & BBQ Sauce

If you're grilling this weekend or any weekend, you must make Fab Foodie Club's Uncle Nearest Whiskey marinade and BBQ sauce for your meats! Be mindful these recipes take time. Like Tennessee Whiskey, your marinade and BBQ have to "age," for the ultimate flavor. The marinade is an overnight marinade, (you can also marinate your meat up to 24 hours) and your BBQ sauce has to be made a minimum of 24 hours and no longer than 7 days (the longer it ages the better the sauce) before you use it on your meats or as a side condiment.

Fab Foodie Club's Uncle Nearest Whiskey Marinade


You will need:

  • 1 cup of Olive Oil

  • 1 cup of Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey

  • 1 cup of brown sugar packed

  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic

  • 1/2 cup of chopped onions

  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup of Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon of Mrs. Dash

  • *2 sprigs of fresh rosemary

  • *2 sprigs of fresh thyme

  • *2 fresh bay leaves

  • *2 fresh sage leaves

  • 2 teaspoons of black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)

  • *You can substitute 2 teaspoons of dry spices for fresh spices.


Combine all ingredients in a dish and pour it into a gallon storage bag, along with your meats.

Let marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

Remove meat from the marinade when you are ready to grill!



Fab Foodie Club's Uncle Nearest Whiskey BBQ

You will need:


1 cup Uncle Nearest Whiskey

1 cup of pineapple juice

2 cups of ketchup

1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)

3/4 cup molasses (unsulfured)

1 teaspoon of Mrs. Dash

1 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon pink sea salt

1 tablespoon of minced onions

1 teaspoon of minced garlic

1/4 cup tomato paste

1 teaspoon liquid smoke


Combine all ingredients in a warm saucepan, increase heat to medium-high until ingredients begin to boil. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer and thicken for an hour.

Let sauce cool. Place sauce in a container, place it into the refrigerator until ready to use
